Lazer von Lossen is a beautiful 12 month old husky mix. This handsome young boy with the snowy coat is all about being by your side. Whenever he is in your company, Lazer always wants to be as close to you as possible -- leaning in, touching your foot with his paw, nuzzling for an ear rub. These are all Lazer’s MOs. He particularly enjoys his chest and belly rubs. Lazer is still a young pup and very willing to learn; in his short time at Westside he has learned to walk on leash so well that he seems like a completely different dog. He might bound out of his kennel with lots of energy, but he calms down with correction and stops pulling after a block or so. He still thinks it is fun to bark at other dogs while on leash, but correct him and he will walk well next to them. Lazer is a high-energy pup who needs lots of exercise and an active family who can provide that for him. This sweet boy did well off-leash in his playgroup. Although he meets the dogs stiffly in the beginning, he eventually relaxes -- and we even noticed him wagging at the other dogs! He does prefer to avoid the other dogs, although he does not mind if they come up and sniff him. He would fit in better with a female or calm male dog. Lazer is looking for a home that will take his sweet spirit and his love of praise into the motivation he needs to learn what it takes to be the best of pups. Whoever adopts him will definitely feel like they hit the jackpot.
